CHEIK Tiote will be back for Newcastle United’s visit to White Hart Lane after the Ivory Coast were knocked out of the African Cup of Nations.

Tiote found the net against Nigeria in Rustenburg, South Africa, but it wasn’t enough to keep his country in the competition.

The Super Eagles beat the Ivory 2-1 yesterday to reach the semi-finals of the competition.

And Tiote’s expected to be return to Tyneside this week ahead of Saturday’s game against Tottenham Hotspur.

The midfielder’s last appearance came came a month ago in United’s home defeat to Everton.

However, Spurs will also have striker Emmanuel Adebayor back after Togo were knocked out by Burkina Faso.

n DAVIDE Santon has won a recall to the Italy squad for Wednesday’s friendly against Tim Krul’s Holland in Amsterdam.

The 22-year-old left-back won the last of his seven senior caps two years ago.
