Raiders beat the Blues in U9s Div 1

SOUTH Shields Raiders and Jarrow FC Blues played out a highly entertaining encounter in the Under-9s Division One of the Chase Holmes South Tyneside Youth League.

Raiders took the lead through Urwin with a clean strike from six yards, but the Reds hit back with a good strike from Daly, to leave honours even at half-time.

After the break, Urwin quickly addeda second, and he then completed his hat-trick to put his side in the driving seat.

Jarrow replied as Daly grabbed his second of the game,but Raiders held out for the 3-2 victory.

South Shields Dial-a-Cab scored a great 3-2 win over Whiteleas Barcelona in a very exciting and entertaining game.

Smithwhite and Patterson netted well for Barca, but fine goals from Roberts, White and Ullah secured the points for Dial-a-Cab.

Hebburn Town Blues put up a good show against FC Sparta, who moved up into second spot after their 4-2 win.

On the scoresheet for the Blues were Johnson and Gibson, with Carman star man.

A single from Houston and a great double from Edmed sealed the win for Sparta.

Leaders Consett Cannons kept up their great form with a big 6-0 win over Hebburn Town Gold. On the scoresheet were man of the match Collingwood (2), Clarke, Maltby and Stewart (2).

Whiteleas Brazil moved into third place after a 2-1 win over Ryhope CW.

Both sides put in a great effort, but strikes from Woods and Winter secured the spoils for Brazil. Monarch replied in style for the Sunderland side.

Harraton Greens and Hebburn Reyrolle put up a fine show, and it was the Washington side who took the spoils, winning 4-2.

Two great goals from Oughton weren't enough as strikes from Hulmer and a superb hat-trick from Morrison won the points for the Greens.
