Real Athletic put Ravens to flight in Serie A

REAL Athletic FC are right behind the leaders of Seria A Division One of the Chase Holmes South Tyneside Youth League after their 4-1 win over Primrose Ravens.

Verner, Burton-Calderwood and Wilson with a fine double secured the points for their side.

South Tyneside keep the pressure on at the top with a very good 5-1 win over Jarrow FC Super Blues.

Proctor took his chance well for Jarrow, but goals from Carr, Coats, Gatesgill and Nying (2) sealed the victory for South Tyneside.

In a close encounter, Primrose just got the better of Whiteleas Lions 2-1.

Butters netted well for the Leas, but two great strikes gave Primrose the points.

Consett Stars got the better of Consett Fire in the Durham derby, with a convincing 6-1 win.

Johnson was on the mark for Fire, but goals from McConnell, Wilson, Nattrass and a great hat-trick from Tilney secured the points for the Stars.

League leaders the Blues came out on top in the Hebburn derby, by winning 6-0.

Gardiner with a double, along with a fine single from Neil and a brilliant hat-trick from Gray, keeps the Blues on top.

LEAM Rangers Greens scored their first win of the season with a splendid 3-0 victory over Consett Cubs. Lee and a double from Bullock gave Leam the win.

In a cracking match, which had the big crowd on tenter hooks, Fatfield FC just got the better of Monkton Vipers 3-2.

On the scoresheet for Fatfield were Grierson, Rousell and Black, with Thompson and Mitchell netting well for the Vipers.

Harraton Athletic remain top after their comfortable 5-0 win over a brave FC Sparta, who had the star man in Stephenson.

McCrea, Richardson, Alexander, Oliver and an own goal completed the scoring for the Washington side.
