Tickets for South Shields' Camerons Brewery Brooks Mileson League Cup final against North Shields are to go on sale - but fans must travel to Whitley Bay FC to buy them.
The final between North Shields and South Shields takes place on Saturday, May 6 at Hillheads Park (KO 3pm) - the home of Whitley Bay FC - and the arrangements for the sale of tickets have been announced by the Northern League.
Tickets will go on sale at the Seahorses clubhouse next to the ground from Sunday, April 30. They will be available at:
* Sunday, April 30 and Monday, May 1 from 3-8pm.
* Tuesday, May 2 to Friday May 5 from 4-8pm.
A statement by the Northern League said: "While the Ebac Northern League recognises the decision to make tickets only available from the venue for the final may cause some inconvenience to supporters of both clubs but we were left with no other option after both clubs informed us that they were unwilling to sell tickets without receiving a payment for doing so from the proceeds of the final, which the competition rules don't allow."
A South Shields spokesman said: "The club is aware of the Northern League press release about League Cup final tickets and will respond in due course. Please bear with us."
On the advice of the police, this is an all-ticket match and tickets can only be purchased with cash with supporters asked to bring the correct change to buy them, where possible.
Tickets are priced at £6 for adults and £4 for senior citizens and children under 16.
The statement added: "Tickets will be sold on a first come first served basis. The dates and times of sales are subject to ticket availability.
"There will be no limit on the amount of tickets individuals can purchase. The league will announce on social media as soon as possible if all tickets are sold before the last session.
"There will be no entry without a valid ticket – this includes children."
If the final is level after 90 minutes, the final will be decided by penalty kicks.
Hillheads Park is at Rink Way, off Hillheads Road, Whitley Bay NE25 8HR.
