SHOLA Ameobi will lead Newcastle United out at the Stade Chaban-Delmas tonight.
The experienced striker has been named in a largely youthful side for the club’s final Europa League group stage game against Bordeaux.
United manager Alan Pardew has also handed starts to Mehdi Abeid, Nile Ranger, Gael Bigirimana and James Tavenier.
Teenage striker Adam Campbell is on the bench after recovering from a knee injury.
Both teams have already qualified for the Round of 32, and the game will decide who finishes top of Group D.
