Sunderland striker Jermain Defoe looks set to lead England's front line in their World Cup qualifier against Lithuania today.

The 34-year-old has been heavily tipped to start ahead of Jamie Vardy by morning media reports.

It would cap an astonishing comeback for the striker, whose last England appearance came four years ago.

Bradley Lowery, who Defoe has struck up such a close friendship, is mascot for the game at Wembley (5pm kick off).
