Sunderland are reported to be interested in Robbie Brady and Shane Long, according to reports.
Sunderland need to bolster their attacking options when the transfer window opens in January, with manager David Moyes reportedly keen on signing players with a proven tack record in England.
The Telegraph report Sunderland are weighing up a bid for Norwich City midfielder Brady, who was linked with a £12 million move to Premier League champions Leicester after his performances at Euro 2016.
Brady signed a three-year deal with an option for a further year at the Canaries, when he moved from Hull in 2015.
Meanwhile, Sunderland have also been linked with a move for Long.
The 29-year-old Republic of Ireland striker is yet to score for the Saints this season and is behind Charlie Austin in the pecking order at St Mary's.
He signed for Southampton for £12million in 2009.
It remains to be seen whether he can be persuaded to move to the North East.
