Four wins just the remedy for South Shields Westoe

South Shields Westoe travel to Medicals this week in another must-win Durham & Northumberland 1 game.

With only four games remaining it’s essential that Westoe win them all to stand any chance of automatic promotion.

They will be hoping that second placed Barnard Castle or top side Northern slip up along the way in a thrilling season finale.

One certainty is that if they can gain four, five-point victories, they will secure the play-off spot against Yorkshire at the very least.

Westoe will need to be wary of a fast-paced Medicals side and provide a solid forward platform to unleash their own skilful backline.

The team make one change in the pack seeing flanker Jack Blenkinsop being rewarded for a fine performance off the bench last week, for his first starting match.

Andy Kirton moves to the second row and Adam Sneller starts from the bench.

They also see a welcome return of Dom Connolly, who takes the second bench spot.
