Jarrow aim to bring slump to an end

JARROW are looking to end a run of four successive defeats when they travel to Hartlepool in the Wearside League Cup tomorrow.

Dave Bell's side slipped to a 1-0 defeat against Belford House in midweek as their mini-slump continues.

The Jarrow boss said: "Things are just not going for us, and we are in a bad run of results.

"I am absolutely sure with the quality we have we will turn things around, and I cannot fault the workrate of the players, who are equally determined to get back on track.

"We are hoping this starts tomorrow in the League Cup."

Jarrow have Peter Kirkham and Andrew Brabbs returning, and hope to bring in a new signing to strengthen the squad.

Daryl Turnbull is injured, and Bell is also awaiting news on an injury to Chris Lunn.
