Key trio boost for Harton and Westoe boss

SET TO RETURN ... David Graham.

SET TO RETURN ... David Graham.

  • by ROSS GREGORY

HARTON and Westoe boss Gordon Diamond hopes to welcome back three key players for their game against Alnwick Town Reserves tomorrow.

The Northern Alliance Division Two side had to make late changes to their line-up for last weekend’s visit to Wideopen after Adam Clark picked up a back injury, and David Graham and Scott Baxter had family commitments.

Harton showed the strength they have in depth, however, by romping to a 3-0 victory to continue their mini-revival after the previous week’s 9-1 win over Swalwell.

Graham notched five in that game, and Diamond is keen to get him back in the starting line-up.

He said: “Davie trained this week and hopefully will be available tomorrow.

“Adam Clark has proved to be a great signing. He’s only 19, but has added some pace to our defence, so we hope his back injury clears up soon.

“It was another good performance last weekend. Hopefully, we’re back on the right track now.”

Diamond must also decide whether to hand a start to attacker Craig Lumley, who impressed off the bench last weekend on his return from injury.
