Newcastle will show Iron no sympathy
SCUNTHORPE United will be fighting for their Championship lives at St James's Park tonight.
But in-form striker Peter Lovenkrands says Newcastle United won't be showing Nigel Adkins's side any sympathy as they push towards the Premier League at the other end of the table.
Third-from-bottom Scunthorpe go into the game in desperate need of points.
And Lovenkrands – who struck his 13th goal of the season in Saturday's 2-2 draw at Middlesbrough – knows they will have the bit between their teeth.

But he is confident United will maintain their unbeaten record on home turf.
"They'll be under pressure coming here, but we just have to stick to our own game plan," Lovenkrands told the Gazette.
"We showed our battling spirit at Middlesbrough, and with our fans behind us we know we have a lot going in our favour. We're on a great run, and we want to keep that going."
Boss Chris Hughton is likely to hand starts to fit-again duo Jose Enrique and Wayne Routledge, both unused substitutes at the Riverside Stadium.
With Alan Smith, Shola Ameobi, Joey Barton and Steven Taylor set to return over the coming weeks, and Lovenkrands is confident the competition can only help United.
"We want these players back for the run-in," added Lovenkrands. "They are key players, and we'll need them in the next two months."
