Anthony Nelson to defend Commonwealth title at Olympic Park
South Shields boxer Anthony Nelson will be back in the ring in four weeks to defend his Commonwealth title.
The super flyweight will take on Belfast’s Jamie Conlan at the Copperbox Arena, in London’s Olympic Park, on Saturday, April 30.
Nelson won the title a year ago in Newcastle when he stopped Scotsman Jamie Wilson.
It will be the first defence of his belt, and comes on the undercard of Billy Joe Saunders’ fight against ??
Conlan is unbeaten in 15 fights.
