Newcastle, Sunderland, Arsenal, Spurs, Fulham, Chelsea, West Brom and Everton eye wing ace

SUNDERLAND and Newcastle were among a host of Premier League clubs said to be taking a look at Norway winger Erik Huseklepp in last night's 4-0 World Cup win over Scotland in Oslo.

Reports in Scandanavia claim Sunderland will soon make a 2.5m bid for the SK Brann midfielder, who scored his first international goal in the game.

The Black Cats were also said to be monitoring midfielders Per Ciljan Skjelbred, of Rosenberg, and Molde's Magne Hoseth.

Scouts from Arsenal, Tottenham, Fulham, Chelsea, West Bromwich Albion, Everton, Hoffenheim, Monaco and AS Rennes were also at last night's game.

Alan Shearer had an interest in taking Huseklepp to St James's Park when he was in charge of the Magpies.

The 24-year-old is out of contract next year, which should restrict how much Brann can demand from interested clubs.
