Sunderland's Fabio Borini left out of preliminary Italy Euro 2016 squad - but Emanuele Giaccherini is in

Fabio Borini won't be representing Italy at Euro 2016 after being left out of their preliminary 30-man squad.

But winger Emanuele Giaccherini is included and could feature in France this summer.

Boss Antonio Conte has named his 30-man preliminary Italy squad for Euro 2016, with no place for Sebastian Giovinco or Andrea Pirlo.

Conte will name a 23-man squad for the tournament, so seven will have to be cut from the initial list.

Italy have friendlies to come against Scotland and Finland before the tournament this summer.

Giaccherini, currently out on loan at Bologna in Serie A, did make the preliminary squad.
