Toon try out Faroe Islands pair
CHRIS Hughton has confirmed Newcastle United are looking at two trialists from the Faroe Islands.
But Hughton says the pair – both midfielders – would not be first-team recruits if he decides to sign them.
Reserve team coach Alan Thompson fielded Christian Mouritsen, 21, and Johan Edmundsson, 18, in a behind-closed-doors game against Hibernian at the club's Benton HQ on Wednesday.
"Yes, we've had a look at two younger lads," said Hughton, "but this will not affect the first-team picture, as they're just young lads."
