CASH-STRAPPED customers can get married on a tight budget by ditching the frills, retailers advised.
A wedding can cost as little as £1,300 by cutting out expensive reception venues and using friends' cars for transport, Asda said.
Meanwhile, Woolworths launched a new sweet priced at 2p which it says doubles up as a temporary engagement ring.
The ring-shaped jelly sweet can be used before investing in the real thing, the chain said.
