Yesterday, the 26-year-old opened up about a heartbreaking ectopic pregnancy in an exclusive interview with Heat Magazine.

She revealed that while on-off romance Gaz Beadle, who has also been in Geordie Shore since 2011, was filming Ex on the Beach in Thailand, she was going through emergency surgery after going to hospital with severe pain, cramping and bleeding.

It also emerged that Gaz slept with other people during filming for the show - despite he and Charlotte being "closer than ever" before he left. She was told the news by her close friends and co-stars Sophie Kasaei and Marnie Simpson.

The news has just broken on Charlotte's Twitter account @CharlotteGShore. The first message was sent at around 11.35am today.

The tweets said: "Sadly because a certain some1 can't admit to being in the wrong and have to write a short story full of excuses.

"I have made the very hard decision to leave the show, it's something I have went back and forth with for a while now.

"But I am willing to sacrifice part of my career in order to be well away from. A liar and a cheat, I'm actually excited to watch the ex on the beach to see the numerous girls emerge from the water who you slept with behind lillies back.

"You no the girl you all thought he wasn't cheating on, am also really excited to see the show you went off to film before that with your grandad, the one you spoke to me every day on, and [slept with] some1 else on!

"While I was sat waiting for you! You may have fooled every else with your victim act! I am hugely sad and it kills me to write this, I will miss Geordie shore with all of my heart, it was my life and I love you all so much."

In a column for the Daily Star today, Gaz has responded to the story and confirmed that the couple were "going to see what happens" when he returned from Thailand. It was clear when he left, he said, that both of them were single.

After receiving Charlotte's news it was her who advised him to stay and carry on filming, Gaz continued.

He added: "Only a handful of my closest friends knew. At the end of the day, I was going to be a dad.

"We were going to be parents, then this happened. It's bloody awful. I am devastated for the both of us."
