A BUNCH of comedians are hoping to tickle some funny bones when they stage a show especially for kids.
Jarrow comic Lee Kyle has recruited some of his funniest friends for the show at The Customs House in South Shields.
Lee will be joined on stage by Matt Reed and Simon Buglass from 2pm on Tuesday. The event was formally held at the Mill Dam theatre’s sister venue, CustomSpace.
Lee said: “It’s brilliant we’re moving in to The Customs House.
“The show is ideal for kids aged from about eight to 13 or 14, but the parents know their own kids and know if they’re going to want to sit and watch a comedy show or not.
“The idea is for the parents to come along too, and for it to be something for the whole family to do together.
“And of course, if the parents are there, it gives us a bit more to play with.
“The kids will feel more at ease too as it can be quite daunting to sit there on your own.
“We’re hoping it’s going to be a really fun afternoon for the kids and the adults.
“I do a kids’ comedy club at The Stand in Newcastle too, and I think the parents are always quite surprised by how much they enjoy it.
“They probably think they’re not going to laugh, but it’s something for all the family to enjoy, not just the kids.”
Tickets for the show cost £4 for children, and accompanying adults go free. To book, call the box office on 454 1234 or pay on the door.
