A SOUTH Tyneside theatre boss has expressed concern for a popular singer after he cancelled his borough date.
Joe Longthorne was set to appear at the Customs House, in South Shields on Saturday, September 27, but has had to cancel the gig due to illness.
Ray Spencer, executive director of the Mill Dam venue, said: “We’re really concerned to hear that Joe is unwell again and it’ll be a great disappointment for his many, many fans that he is unable to make the date.
“We do hope that there’s a speedy recovery, and that some time in the future he will return to The Customs House. We send him all our best wishes.”
Anyone with tickets to the concert should go to the theatre or call the box office on 454 1234 to have their tickets refunded.
