THOUSANDS of tickets have been sold for an emerging South Shields singing star’s gig.
More than 7,000 people are heading to the first Hardwick Live Garden Party, which will feature a performance from Natasha Haws.
The event, at Hardwick Hall Hotel in Sedgefield, takes place on Saturday, September 14.
It will also see Glaswegian rockers Texas return to the stage after an eight-year break, in their only North East performance of the year.
Jonathan Woodliffe, Hardwick Live Event organiser, said: “The response to Hardwick Live has been phenomenal.
“We sold out all of our corporate hospitality tickets very quickly, and have a waiting list.
“General ticket sales have exceeded our initial target of 7,000, which is incredible for a first-time event.
“We’re releasing further tickets this week due to the ongoing demand, as we want to make sure no one misses out on what is sure to be the garden party of the year.”
Adding to the headline line-up are Jools Holland and his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra and Alison Moyet, who will perform in a picturesque lakeside setting.
As well as the three headline acts, partygoers can also look forward to performances from Britain’s Got Talent trio Loveable Rogues, Moya, The Struts and Natasha, who will perform an acoustic set.
Tickets for the gig cost £39 for adults, £10 for children aged 13 to 16, and £5 for children aged three to 12. Children aged two and under go free.
