BOY-band Boyzone will play a big open-air gig at Durham’s Emirates international cricket ground this summer, it was announced today.
The Irish group, who have sold more than 25 million records, will be performing their greatest hits on Saturday, June 7.
The four-piece consists of Ronan Keating, Keith Duffy, Shane Lynch and Mikey Graham.
Tickets, priced £37.50, go on sale from.ticketmaster.co.uk at 9am tomorrow.
Keating said: “We love the chance to play outdoors through the summer, so I’m looking forward to a great night in Durham.”
Boyzone are still going strong, more than 20 years after they were formed.
They have had a phenomenal run of hits, including six No 1s - Words, A Different Beat, All That I Need, No Matter What, When The Going Gets Tough and You Needed Me.
The gig is the latest in a series of outdoor shows at the Chester-le-Street ground, which has also hosted pop acts 5ive, Blue, Atomic Kitten, and Jessie J, superstar Elton John, opera singer Lesley Garrett, jazz sensation Jamie Cullum, and reggae band UB40.
