A TRIBUTE show to one of the top rock bands of the 1970s is heading to South Tyneside next month.
Limehouse Lizzy will be performing the iconic rock songs of Philip Lynott and his band Thin Lizzy at the Customs House, in South Shields, on Friday, January 10.
The tribute band has received international recognition, having headlined at a music festival in Greece, as well at the Virgin Atlantic music festival, in Barbados.
The show will feature hits including Black Rose, Whiskey In The Jar and The Boys Are Back In Town – the single which launched Thin Lizzy’s success.
Customs House executive director, Ray Spencer, said: “Limehouse Lizzy are one of the most popular tribute acts around.
“The feedback we receive from our audiences is always fantastic so we’re delighted to welcome the group back to the Customs House in 2014.”
The Mill Dam venue’s marketing co-ordinator, Ali Brown, added: “Limehouse Lizzy’s attention to detail and audience interaction is astounding, so much so that their tribute is practically the real thing.
“We can’t wait to have them back with us. It’s going to be a great show, as always.”
Tickets for the 7.45pm show cost £15 in advance or £16.50 on the door.
