A SOUTH Tyneside fashion guru has designs on making a big impression on the catwalk in London.
Laura Moore will see her cutting-edge clothing creations featured in a high-profile fashion show at the famous Hippodrome, in Golders Green, on Friday.
Fashionista Laura, 27, who launched her own clothes shop in Hebburn shopping centre last year, will see her designs showcased at the Catwalk Melody Show.
Aimed at sparking a fusion of fashion, music and art, the event will feature up-and-coming artists and the latest fashion designers.
Music will be provided by rock diva Tiger Lilly, alongside the classical jazz vocals of Missbee, plus teen sensation Rebecca Roberts.
Laura said: “The collection designed by myself is based on an inspired 1950s rock’n’roll Dolly Rock theme, that I will be showcasing in this flamboyant venue.
“The collection is themed with bold colour, fun polka dot, cupcake prints and extremely cute swinging dresses – it’s the work I’m most proud of to date.
“The collection will then make its way North and will be stocked by our boutique.”
Miss Moore was born in South Tyneside and later raised and educated in London, where she gained a degree in communication and fashion.
The talented fashion designer has worked for several high street brands, including River Island and Primark, plus independent labels such as Lulu&Red and has seen her designs exhibited across the capital.
Launched in St James Mall, Hebburn town centre, last summer, with the support of South Tyneside Council and borough development agency Tedco, the family-run Laura Moore – London Boutique, is doing well and attracting fashion lovers from throughout the area.
