SOUTH Shields comedian Sarah Millican has announced her marriage to fellow comic Gary Delaney.
The comic took to Twitter to tell her one million followers that the pair had tied the knot.
She said: “Thrilled to announce that @garydelaney and I got married last weekend. We are loved up and beaming. X”
He then re-tweeted her message, adding “It’s true. We did.”
Millican’s fans rushed to leave messages congratulating the pair, dubbing them a “great couple” and saying that she would have made “a beautiful bride”.
The 38-year-old, originally from Chichester, burst onto the comedy scene in 2008 after winning the Best Newcomer award at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
She has become a regular face on TV, appearing on panel and quiz shows including 8 Out Of 10 Cats and Would I Lie To You?
Sarah was named Queen of Comedy at the 2011 British Comedy Awards, and in 2012, she began airing her own show, The Sarah Millican Television Programme, on BBC2.
