Ringmaster Paul Martinez says the show is more dangerous than ever.

Among the thrilling acts is motorbike rider Peter Pavlov and his team, who have featured on Tonight at the London Palladium and Britain’s Got Talent.

He said: “We’ve got the motorbikes again, including Peter Pavlov, who’s the youngest stunt rider in the world. They’ll be doing the Globe of Death but setting a new record with it by having five bikes riding inside a globe with a 4-metre circumference at the same time. It’s always one of the crowd’s favourite acts.

“The Wheel of Death is back as well with the same performers but they’ve added more tricks, including a somersault on the outside of the wheel, which is very dangerous.

“We’ve also got jugglers from Las Vegas, who also do a rock-themed knife throwing act, a cowboy act doing whip cracking, the lasso and gun tricks, aerial acts, fire acts, a hula hooper and of course, a clown.

“It’s a really dangerous show this year, but there’s something for the whole family. We’ve got a Minion for the kids and a Transformer who rides out as a car and transforms in the ring and the kids absolutely love it.”

Paul is in South Shields for the first time, but said he’d heard great things about the town.

He added: “From speaking to everyone I know that we’re going to have a great time here. Everyone has said that they always look forward to coming to this area and that the show is always very well received and they get great feedback.”
