South Shields singing star Joe McElderry is coming back to his hometown theatre for a string of gigs.
The 25-year-old, who has just finished a UK tour in the title role of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, is bringing his Northern Light Tour to the Customs House.
He’ll be at the Mill Dam venue on August 19 and 20 and on October 22 and 23.
Joe, from Westoe, who also triumphed on Popstar to Opera Star, completed his latest charity cycle at the Customs House on Sunday.
He arrived back there after cycling 250-mile and raising almost £10,000 for the Teenage Cancer Trust.
The Customs House’s executive director, Ray Spencer, said: “We’re thrilled to have Joe back at the theatre.
“He already has a huge fanbase but I’m sure his fantastic turn as Joseph can only have helped that fanbase grow.”
Joe will be on tour from August until the end of November, when he stars as Aladdin in panto at the Grand Theatre, Wolverhampton.
Tickets for the shows are on sale now. To book, go to www.customshouse.co.uk or call the box office on 0191 454 1234.
