SOUTH Shields singing star Joe McElderry is to duet with soul legend Dionne Warwick.
The 21-year-old this week confirmed plans for the charity single, to raise funds for World Hunger Day.
Joe tweeted the news to fans, saying: “Very excited to be recording a duet with the legend Dionne Warwick!”
Last summer, the pair were joined on stage by the London Community Gospel Choir at the capital’s Royal Albert Hall for a rendition of One World, One Song.
Joe and the 72-year-old, best known for her 1964 hit walk On By, are now set to record a version of the track to mark this year’s World Hunger Day.
It will be released on Monday, May 27.
X Factor and Popstar to Operastar winner Joe recently recorded another charity single with the Royal Mail Choir.
The song, Abide With Me, in aid of Prostate Cancer UK, is available to download now.
