Specsavers South Shields open for key workers and community to seek urgent eye care

Hide AdOver the last week, staff at the store have advised NHS key workers who have needed urgent guidance on their eye healthcare.
Store director, Bryan Clark, says: “In light of the current climate we are doing our utmost to ensure we can still be on hand for those in our local community who may need advice or a
consultation, as well as valued key workers who are on the frontline.

Hide Ad“I would like to assure all of our customers, or indeed those whose regular opticians is closed, that we are here to help in the case of urgent eye care requirements.
“So if your condition is causing you distress, or preventing you from functioning as you normally would without our help, please call the store in the first instance and we will do all we can whilst adhering with current health and safety rules.’
Specsavers teams are classed as key workers to provide urgent and essential eye care to those who need it.
They are encouraging customers to contact them first if they have urgent eye health queries, instead of going to their GP’s or hospitals.

The store is available to give advice between the hours: Monday and Friday 8.45am to 6pm, Tuesday to Thursday 8.30am to 7.30pm, Saturday 9.15am to 5pm and Sunday 9.45am to 4pm.
