Bus blaze at Jarrow Transport Interchange
Commuters at Jarrow bus station were left in shock when the single decker vehicle burst into flames.
The single decker Crusader service had pulled into the station when the fire broke out at about 1.10pm today.

Hide AdThe driver of the bus evacuated the vehicle, with 20 passengers moved to safety.
Three Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service appliances were sent to the blaze, which appeared at the back of the bus.
A total of 16 firefighters helped bring the fire under control.
The service said the heat from the fire also caused slight damage to the guttering and front of a nearby shop.
No one was injured in the incident.
