Cyclist left with two broken wrists after alleged hit-and-run involving an off-road motorbike in Ferry Street, Jarrow
The man, in his 40s, was taken to hospital after the collision in Ferry Street, Jarrow, on Sunday, June 13.
Police are now appealing for witnesses after the rider of the motorbike allegedly left the area after the incident.
A spokesman for Northumbria Police said: “Shortly after 1.30pm yesterday we received a report of a collision involving the rider of an off-road motorcycle and a cyclist on Ferry Street, Jarrow.

Hide Ad“It was reported that the rider of an off-road motorcycle had been in collision with a male pedestrian in his 40s who was on a pedal cycle.
“The cyclist suffered two fractured wrists and was taken to hospital as a result.
“Officers attended but the rider of the motorcycle had already left the scene.
“Enquiries are ongoing to trace those involved.”
