Extra police patrols in South Shields after 'aggressive' behaviour from youths

Residents complained about an incident involving a group of youths in the Biddick Hall area on Monday, November 25.
Many took to social media to share their criticism, with some hailing the incident – discussed on the South Tyneside Parenting Network Facebook group – as a “disgrace”.

Hide AdNorthumbria Police confirmed it was stepping up its patrols in the area following complaints about the youths’ behaviour.
A spokeswoman for the force said: “Last night we received reports of anti-social behaviour involving a group of youths in the Biddick Hall area of South Shields.
“It was reported that a group were acting aggressively and throwing mud at a property.
“This type of behaviour is totally unacceptable and police have increased patrols in the area as a result.
“Anyone with concerns is asked to speak to an officer or call 101.”
