South Shields drink-driver warned she faces jail after being caught almost four times the limit in Honda Civic
Amy Treadwell, 39, of Chirton Avenue, Marsden, South Shields, was warned by magistrates the starting point for her crime was 12-weeks behind bars.
But Treadwell was also told the offence carried a maximum sentence of six months in jail.

Hide AdShe was caught driving a red Honda Civic in Lumley Avenue, also Marsden, on Wednesday, March 31.
A breath test revealed she had 157mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs.
No other details of the offence were read to South Tyneside Magistrates’ Court, where Treadwell admitted a charge of drink-driving.
But after being handed an interim driving ban and warned not to get behind the wheel, Treadwell said: “I’ve never driven since that day anyway.
“I’ve never been in the car since that day.”
Her solicitor, Dave Parish, told the court: “This is a matter where you clearly are going to want an all-options report.”

Hide AdTreadwell, who has no previous convictions, was granted unconditional bail and will be sentenced at the same court on Tuesday, June 22.
