Drunk hit with £275 court bill after squaring up to police
Police were called to the Hedworth Hall at 11.20pm on Saturday, December 5 after staff had to escort Robert Storey off the premises for disruptive behaviour – only for him to try to return minutes later.
Glenda Beck, prosecuting, said: “He swore at police and a female refused to move out of the way of officers as they approached him.

“He continued to be abusive and was arrested.”
Laura Johnson, defending, said the 25-year-old had ‘far too much too drink’ on the night.
Storey, of Wenlock Place, South Shields, admitted being drunk and disorderly in a public place at South Tyneside Magistrates’ Court. He was fined £170 and must pay court costs of £85 and a £20 victim surcharge.
