Emergency services on scene at South Shields flats after 'body' discovered
Police and paramedics have been called to a block of South Shields flats after reports a 'body' has been found.
They attended a property in Bedford Avenue, Laygate, South Shields, at around 6.30am today.
It is understood from neighbours that a woman's body has been discovered inside one of the addresses.
Northumbria Police were unavailable for comment.
