England pledge to give Bradley Lowery 'a result to be proud of' in World Cup quarter-final as mum Gemma pays tribute to 'amazing son'
Today marks one year since the six-year-old, from Blackhall, passed away following a brave fight with neuroblastoma cancer. In the 12 months since his death, his family and friends have worked hard to set up the Bradley Lowery Foundation, which works to support other children through fundraising and awareness campaigns.
Posting on the Bradley Lowery Foundation Facebook page today, Gemma paid tribute to her son and the legacy he has left behind. She also called on her little angel to back England today as they prepare to face Sweden in the World Cup quarter-finals. Kick-off is at 3pm.

"Lots of people commend me on the good work I am doing for the charity and helping others, but this would not [have] been possible if it wasn’t for my special little boy who the nation fell in love with and who raised so much awareness for childhood cancer. "So Bradley thank you ... thank you for [being] an amazing son, thank you for everything you achieved when you were on this earth and making me and your daddy the proudest parents in the world. Thank you for giving me the strength to carry on and continue the legacy you created.
"Now my little angel make sure you are with our boys in Russia and help them win."
