New machine not the ticket
On my approach I noticed a man kneeling beside the machine, the reason being he couldn’t see the letters or numbers on the pad, which is now used to type in your car registration.
After several attempts his reg came up wrong because the keys on the pad were so small he kept hitting two numbers at the same time. A young girl eventually helped him. Also several people had to go back to their cars because: 1. to get their glasses and 2. they couldn’t remember their registration. Hence the ever increasing queue.

So if you are elderly, short-sighted, or have trouble using your hands, you might find these machines a bit ofa problem.
