The Great Celebrity Bake Off for SU2C saw South Shields pop star Jade Thirlwall join documentary maker Stacey Dooley, YouTuber, boxer and rapper KSI, also known as JJ, and comedian Katherine Ryan in the spin off Channel 4 series for Stand Up To Cancer.
The Little Mix singer was soon singled out by her competitors as their biggest threat, with their first challenge to make fondant fancies, inspired by cocktail flavours.

Judge Paul Hollywood said her finished cakes were “rough diamonds” while Prue Leith deemed them “very good” with Jade going up against Katherine’s Espresso Martini cakes, KSI’s strawberry daiquiri creations and Stacey’s Shirley Temple fancies.
She stole the top spot in the technical challenge to bake a cherry lattice pie and custard, with Jade raising a laugh as she called it “the best of a bad bunch".
Their showstopper was to create a scene made from meringue and biscuits, with the 28-year-old making Little Mix live concert, with the band, including since-departed Jesy Nelson, formed from gingerbread.

Jade, a patron of Cancer Connections in her home town, told viewers how fundraising for such causes as Stand Up To Cancer is close to her heart after losing loved ones to the disease.
"It's not until it really happens to you or a family member that you realise how horrific it is,” she said.
She also said she was excited to take part as a fan, calling it an “amazing experience” while she couldn’t hide her crush on Paul and his “intense” blue eyes.
