Little Mix star Jade Thirlwall clothing collection raises more than £2,000 to help struggling families in South Shields

The South Shields singer, 27, first lent her support to South Tyneside charity Hospitality and Hope earlier this year when she pledged to donate the proceeds from the sale of the face masks which form part of her clothing collection.
The organisation based on Hampden Street in South Shields, helps homeless and vulnerable people through its food bank and wellbeing support.

Hide AdNow the charity has confirmed that Jade has raised more than £2,000 from the sale of the first batch of face masks during the summer.
And more money is expected to come in from the new stock of face masks.
Confirming fundraising initiative in June, Skinnydip London said on Instagram: “If you purchase one of the Skinnydip X Jade Thirlwall masks, 100% of profits will be going to Hospitality and Hope, a charity chosen by Jade close to her home town, funding food and support services for homeless people in South Tyneside.”
Hospitality and Hope charity bosses said they were delighted to have the support of the star which has come at a particularly tough time for many.

Hide AdChief executive, Paul Oliver, said: "We’re delighted that Jade has chosen us to support as her local charity and its great news to hear that her masks are still selling through and raising funds for our work.
"The money raised will go towards helping us to support vulnerable families in need in the run up to Christmas.”
In her role as Cancer Connections charity patron, she takes part in a fundraising Boxing Day Dip at the Little Haven Beach on her birthday each year, meets youngsters at sponsored events and has raised thousands for the charity through the sale of her old clothes.

Hide AdJade also opened bar Arbeia and nightclub Industry in the town centre in a bid to boost its nightlife scene and is the Honorary President of South Shields Football Club.
