Hide AdThe report states: “When he was appointed Chelsea manager in the summer, Lampard wanted Given to make the move along with first-team coaches Jody Morris and Chris Jones.
“The switch was resisted by the board at Stamford Bridge who were keen to promote Henrique Hilario into the role vacated by Maurizio Sarri's goalkeeping coach Massimo Nenci and keep threads of continuity running through the club despite regular managerial changes.”
