Boukbakary Soumare is a target for Premier League leaders Liverpool – after rejecting a move to Newcastle United, according to a report.

However, Soumare wanted to “keep his options open” according to United head coach Steve Bruce – and turned the club down.

Spanish outlet Sport claim that Jurgen Klopp wants to take the 21-year-old to Anfield in the summer.

Liverpool reportedly made a first approach for Soumare last summer.
