According to reports, United have scouted the Royal Antwerp right-back since the summer, but it is Nuno Espirito Santo who has stolen a march on the Magpies ahead of the January transfer window, with Wolves expected to confirm a loan, with view to a permanent deal when the winter window reopens.
The Magpies are well-stocked at right-back this season with Steve Bruce able to call upon the services of THREE players in that role.

A fourth right-back Jamie Sterry was omitted from Bruce’s 25-man Premier League squad, and has been playing for the club’s under-23s this season.
Manquillo and Sterry are both out of contract in the summer, while USA international Yedlin’s deal is up in 2021.
