Update on Newcastle United-linked Arsenal and Porto stars as SIX players touted to make St James's Park move
Newcastle United have emerged as favourites to sign Arsenal defender Rob Holding on a season-long loan, according to reports in The Athletic.
Sky Sports report, however, that a deal for the defender is ‘still some way off’.

The Gunners rejected a £15m offer from Wolves last week for the 23-year-old, who was named man of the match as the Gunners defeated Liverpool in yesterday’s Community Shield match at Wembley.
Elsewhere, Mali international striker Moussa Marega looks set to leave Porto and is refusing to sign a new deal and has declared his intention to leave.
A Bola state that, rather than lose the striker on a free, the Portgual club are looking for buyers this summer, one of which could be Newcastle United.

Finally, The Daily Mail claims Norwich left-back Jamal Lewis, ex-Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser – who currently available on a free – and Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson are all being looked at by Newcastle United.
