The L’Equipe report also offers an insight into Sartori and Louis-Dreyfus’ early plans for the Black Cats.
They include a Sporting Director, with the report suggesting that interviews have already taken place for the role and that four candidates – based in England and Scandinavia – have been shortlisted.
High-profile firm Executives in Sport are understood to have been appointed to lead the recruitment process.

It has previously been reported that Sartori was keen to purchase a club in his homeland of Uruguay, with his advisers holding discussions with a club earlier this year.
And L’Equipe suggest that Sartori – with new backing from Louis-Dreyfus – could now make that vision a reality with a bid for Uruguayan Primera Division side Club Atletico River Plate.
