The Black Cats travel to the Memorial Stadium (7:45pm kick-off) looking to end a run of three games without a win in League One.
Their previous victory came against The Gas at the Stadium of Light last month as Parkinson’s side ran out 3-0 winners.

Hide AdWyke was on the scoresheet that day alongside Lynden Gooch and Luke O’Nien before suffering a back injury. The 27-year-old missed Saturday’s 2-2 draw at home to Gillingham as Kyle Lafferty came in to net a brace on his full-debut.
But after receiving an injection in his back, Wyke could now make the trip to Bristol.
“Charlie has had a bit of problem with his back, so we decided to get it sorted this week,” Parkinson said.
“He probably could have carried on through to the Blackpool game but it’s getting to a stage where we felt we should do the injection this week and hopefully he will be ok for the week coming up.

“With painkillers, we could have asked him to get through [the Gillingham] game but with Kyle and Will Grigg available we just thought it was better to get it dealt with and hopefully we will reap the benefit of that.”
