“I would like to assure all of our customers, or indeed those whose regular opticians is closed, that we are here to help in the case of urgent eye care requirements.

“So if your condition is causing you distress, or preventing you from functioning as you normally would without our help, please call the store in the first instance and we will do all we can whilst adhering with current health and safety rules.’

Specsavers teams are classed as key workers to provide urgent and essential eye care to those who need it.

They are encouraging customers to contact them first if they have urgent eye health queries, instead of going to their GP’s or hospitals.
