GCSE Results Day 2022: 15 pictures of happy faces as students pick up their results at Hebburn, St Joseph's and St Wilfrid's

School-leavers have been celebrating and looking to the future as they pick up their GCSE results.

It is the first time since the start of the pandemic that students have had to sit exams and wait anxiously for the results, after Covid-19 saw teachers provide grades for pupils instead.
