England’s Covid restrictions are now expected to be in place until July 19.
The latest figures show 13 out of 23 areas in Sunderland still saw a rise in infections in the latest seven-day period, the second week in June.
Sunderland recorded 148 cases in the seven days to 15 June, a rate of 98 per 100,000 people compared to a rate of 70.9 on June 8.
As the country looks set to stay with restrictions for another month, we reveal which neighbourhoods that have cases rates of more than 100 per 100,000 people.
1. Harton (East)
