The streets of South Shields have been left empty since the Government put the country in lockdown this week.

All “non-essential” retail premises have been told to close.

Our photographers have been out and about over the last few days – keeping their social distance - as shoppers stock up on supplies, joggers and dog walkers take their daily exercise and key workers head out for their shifts.
