Jarrow MP thanks efforts of South Tyneside healthcare staff in administering the Covid vaccines

The MP for Jarrow commended the efforts of healthcare staff administering the Covid vaccines across the borough after paying a visit to a GP surgery which is distributing the jab in Hebburn.

Kate Osborne stopped by the Glen Surgery in Hebburn to observe the delivery of the potentially life-saving jabs.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson has suggested certain restrictions could soon be relaxed, with the UK set to hit targets set for vaccination of some of the most vulnerable groups in the country by mid-February.

Ms Osborne praised the efforts of staff at the Glen centre, following her weekend visit.

“Thank you so much to the great team at The Glen Covid Vaccine Centre for facilitating my visit on Saturday morning and for the amazing work they are doing,” she told The Gazette.

“A huge thanks to all other vaccination centres across South Tyneside and Gateshead too. Covid vaccinations are being carried out across South Tyneside and Gateshead in such a calm, well-organised and friendly manner.

Jarrow MP Kate Osborne applauded the 'heroic' efforts of borough healthcare staff in delivering the Covid vaccines

"A fantastic team of doctors, pharmacists, dentists, nurses and healthcare practitioners and marshalls all working tirelessly to get us back to ‘normal’ at great pace.
