The High Street favourite may have closed 24 years ago but the memories live on and we have got 17 for you.
Take a look through our photographs of the store which was a South Shields favourite.
1. Santa's in town!
Look at the joy on the face of this youngster as she visits Santa's grotto. Who remembers their visit to see Father Christmas?
2. Saying hello to Hobo
Who remembers Hobo? Regular visitors will remember the black labrador charity dog that stood inside Binns store for 15 years collecting hundreds of pounds for Sunderland and South Shields Guide Dogs Association. He is pictured with owner Jennifer Emerson.

3. A look inside
The first of our glimpses inside Binns. It was the department which was perfect for a new set of pyjamas.
4. Ready to help
It's service with a smile from this worker in 1970.
